To unite a community of padel lovers with a universal rating system, and to provide tools to Federations, Clubs, Event Organizers, 3rd Party Platforms and players that maximize level based play and player enjoyment of the sport on and off the court.
- To participate in local club and activities, as well as tournaments and leagues with players of your level.
- To participate in sanctioned USPA and PAC events.
- To get access to exclusive events and leagues.
- To track your progress.
- Yes! Activities and events are simply better when they are organized by player levels that are based less on personal subjectivity, and more on actual data.
- Event organizers and clubs can contact us for details on how to integrate a standard rating system into your daily programming, events, and tournaments of all sizes etc.
- Confidence declines when you are inactive because the system becomes less certain that your rating still reflects your current level. Confidence loss is bigger the longer you don’t play. After each month of inactivity, it decays 25% faster.
- WPR is all about actual results in comparison to expected outcomes. For each match, our algorithm determines an expected result based on main two parameters (as well as some smaller variables):
- Rating (of each player on the court)
- Confidence Level (of each player on the court)
- If you underperform the expected outcome — even in a win — your rating may decrease. Similarly, if you overperform based on the expected outcome, and even lose, your rating may increase.
- With every result, your rating confidence will increase. This indicates that your rating is nearing a more accurate reflection of your current level.
- A coach/club/event organizer review is the fastest and most reliable way to establish a more “confident” initial rating. It accelerates your path to high confidence and increases the likelihood that your placement in events is accurate.
- To maintain fairness and align with the distribution of active players:
- Men: max self-rating = 16.0
- Women: max self-rating = 12.0
- Higher ratings must be earned through validated play, coach review, or a verified FIP World ranking.
- Your rating becomes visible to others as soon as your rating is above 5% confidence (which means it has an LC or checkmark status).
- With respect to match results, the two ratings are independent. Each match is classified as either social or competitive, and it affects only the corresponding rating (WPR-s or WPR).
- The only connection between them can happen at the very beginning:If a club or coach sets your initial placement, they may choose to set both ratings at the same time. In that case, your WPR and WPR-s may likely start with the same value.
- Once you begin accumulating matches, the two ratings will evolve separately based on the type of matches you play. Usually over time, a player who is active with both WPR and WPR-s play, will have similar ratings between the 2.

- When a player is new to the platform and creates a profile, they are asked to answer an initial survey and select a primary club. A player will get an initial rating from that survey, but the algorithm will not trust this rating as it is essentially self-assigned. This player will be in an NC (no – confidence) state until a certain number of matches are played within a certain time frame. The number of matches depends based on the calculated quality of the data coming from those matches.
- Once a player has reached 5% of confidence, it is in the LC (low -confidence) state. This player will drop to NC (no confidence) if they are inactive and fall under 5% confidence again. To reach high confidence (symbolized by a checkmark next to a player profile), one must be above 35% confident.
- When new to the platform an NC player’s primary club or an event organizer can assign an initial rating that will give confidence an initial boost. The reasoning behind this is that an event organizer or a primary club will likely be more objective that the player themself. AI tools will soon be also available to establish this initial rating as well with a degree of confidence commensurate with the accuracy of the assessment.
