World Padel Rating (WPR) Announces Five-Year Partnership with Padel Association of Canada (PAC)

World Padel Rating (WPR), a global rating system designed to bring structure, transparency, and consistency to competitive padel, has announced a five-year partnership with the Padel Association of Canada (PAC). Through this agreement, WPR will become the exclusive official rating system for all PAC-sanctioned play across Canada.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in the continued growth and organization of padel in Canada, aligning PAC’s expanding competitive landscape with a globally recognized rating methodology.

Under the agreement, all sanctioned tournaments, leagues, and competitive formats governed by PAC will integrate WPR’s rating system, providing players with a unified and transparent framework to track performance, measure progress, and compete across levels with greater consistency.

As the sport continues to grow nationally, PAC is committed to building a consistent, fair, and transparent competitive framework for players, clubs, and organizers,” said Nancy Malone, President, Padel Association of Canada. “Adopting WPR as our official rating system provides Canadian players with clear pathways for development, stronger competitive balance, and alignment with an international standard, all while supporting the grassroots and elite growth of the sport across the country.”

The collaboration is designed to complement PAC’s ongoing efforts to grow the sport nationally by introducing a system that enhances competitive integrity while remaining accessible to players at every level, from recreational to elite.

“As padel continues to scale globally, partnerships like this are critical in creating a more connected and standardized competitive environment. Canada is an important and fast-growing market, and we’re excited to support PAC in building a structured pathway for players and clubs,” said Charles Messow, Co-founder, WPR.

The collaboration is designed to complement PAC’s ongoing efforts to grow the sport nationally by introducing a system that enhances competitive integrity while remaining accessible to players at every level, from recreational to elite.

By implementing WPR across all sanctioned play, Canadian players will benefit from:

  • A consistent and objective rating system across tournaments and leagues complimenting a standardized rating for local,  unsanctioned and social organized play
  • Improved match-making and competitive balance
  • Greater visibility into player development and performance
  • Alignment with an international standard as the sport continues to expand

This partnership further strengthens WPR’s presence across key global markets and reinforces its mission to bring clarity and consistency to the rapidly growing padel ecosystem.

For PAC, the agreement represents an investment in long-term player development, competition structure, and the overall experience of organized play in Canada.
